Price allocation worksheet

Use this when negotiating a business sale, to see how the price might split across inventory, equipment, leaseholds and goodwill.

Worked example. A $450,000 purchase price with $40,000 of inventory, $110,000 of equipment and fixtures, $30,000 of leasehold improvements and a $20,000 non-competition covenant leaves about $250,000 for goodwill.
