Rules & Regulations

  1. Eligibility: The Treadstone Law Sell Your House Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to individuals who utilize Treadstone Law to close their real estate transaction, following the instructions provided below. Entrants must be of legal age in their jurisdiction of residence. Real Estate transaction is limited to Residential Real Estate within the Province of Ontario with a Sale, Purchase or Refinance value of less than $2,000,000. Employees, officers, and representatives of Treadstone Law and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

  2. How to Enter: For each real estate transaction closed through Treadstone Law, the purchaser will automatically receive one entry into the Sweepstakes (“Ticket”) when the purchaser quotes promo code SWEEPSTAKES265 in the retainer agreement or email. No additional action is required to enter the Sweepstakes.

  3. Prize: One lucky winner will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received. The winner will have their legal fees associated with their real estate transaction fully refunded (the “Prize”).

  4. Winner Selection and Notification: The winner will be selected through a random draw conducted by Treadstone Law or its designated representative. The draw will take place within a reasonable time after the closing of the Sweepstakes period. The winner will be notified via the contact information provided during the real estate transaction. If the winner fails to respond within a specified time or is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.

  5. Public Announcement: The winner’s name may be publicly announced on Treadstone Law’s official website, social media platforms, or other promotional channels. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to the potential public disclosure of their name as the winner.

  6. General Conditions: By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions made by Treadstone Law, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Treadstone Law reserves the right to disqualify any individual found tampering with the entry process or violating these rules.

  7. Privacy: Any personal information collected during the Sweepstakes will be used solely for the purpose of administering the contest and fulfilling the Prize. Treadstone Law will handle personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

  8. Service Pricing: Unless otherwise stated, Sweepstake pricing for Sale, Purchase and Refinance are $999, $1,099 and $899. Prices exclude HST and Disbursements. This fee is for a transaction value of $1,000,000 or less. For transaction values above $1,000,000, an additional $1 for every $1,000 of transaction value will be charged above the base price.

  9. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Treadstone Law, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or the use or acceptance of the Prize.

  10. Prize Limit: Fee refund for the sweepstakes is limited to $1,500 per ticket drawn for the winner.

  11. Entry Limits: Sweepstakes is in effect only if there is a minimum of 200 entrants. If minimum entrants are not met, no prizes will be drawn. All fees paid by entrants will be deemed fees for services rendered in the closing of the real estate transaction. No refunds on services rendered.

  12. Sweepstakes Expiration: All transactions must be completed prior to December 31, 2024 to qualify to enter the Sweepstakes. Treadstone Law may cancel Sweepstakes at any time at their sole discretion. Upon cancellation, all fees paid by entrants will be deemed fees for services rendered in the closing of the real estate transaction.

  13. Disputes: Any disputes arising out of or related to the Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Treadstone Law is located, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions.

  14. Arbitration: All disputes will be resolved through arbitration with Treadstone Associates.

  15. Rules Change: Treadstone Law holds sole discretion to change the rules to the Sweepstakes at any time and without notice.
